AMBON YELLOW RICE

How to make:

1. Wash the rice thoroughly, then drain.

3. Put the washed rice into the pan, stir well with the sauteed spices.

4. Pour the coconut milk into the pan, stir well. Add turmeric powder or ground turmeric. Stir again until evenly distributed.

5. Add salt to taste according to taste. Stir again and taste the taste. Adjust the taste to taste by adding salt if needed.

6. Cover the pan and cook the rice over low heat until the water is reduced and the rice is completely cooked. Make sure the rice is not too soft or too hard.

7. After the rice is cooked, leave it for a few minutes with the pan lid closed so that the rice becomes fluffier.

8. Serve Ambon yellow rice with accompaniments such as boiled eggs, fried chicken, cucumber slices, tomato slices, fried peanuts, fried shallots and chili sauce to taste.
